I didn’t think casting from my iPhone to my Chromecast would ever be this complicated. I just wanted to throw some videos onto the TV for my kid’s birthday slideshow—nothing fancy. Tried using the default screen mirroring and it was okay for like 5 minutes, then it would freeze, drop the connection, or lag like crazy. I thought maybe my phone was acting up, so I restarted it, switched networks, even reinstalled the Home app. Still junk. Ended up wasting more time fixing the stream than enjoying the party. My cousin told me about DoCast and I was skeptical because I’ve tried so many “mirroring” apps that promise stability and don’t deliver. But I gave it a shot after the party and man, it worked so much smoother. I wish I’d had it before the big moment, but now I’ve got it set up for future stuff. Would’ve saved me the stress of tech messing with memories.
