Devin Woolridge

Born in Lynn MA Devin Woolridge had been dancing since the age of three. He has trained in Boston , New York and Los Angeles. He started choreographing for ITM ( In The Mak’n ) at age 16, years later he then became a dancer and choreographer for Phunk Phenomenon appeared on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew season 6, had also choreographed for the XBOX 360 video game (Dance Central). His choreography has won many competitions such as Hip Hop International, World of Dance and Prelude in which he has also judged. Devin’s choreography has been performed in New York, LasVegas, Los Angeles, Canada, Japan,Russia and China.

COURTNEY

Courtney joined the Phunk family in 2009 when she auditioned for our adult crew, Phunk Phenomenon where she was a member from 2009-2018. She has taught jazz and hip hop for our studio since 2010 while also contributing as a coach for Lil Phunk and Phunk Mob. In 2010 and 2013, she traveled to Hip Hop International placing 2nd and 3rd with Phunk Phenomenon in the USA respectively. In college, Courtney founded Suffolk University's first hip hop dance crew, W!cked. Born and raised in Revere, MA, Courtney continues to teach the next generation of dancers the elements and foundation of hip hop.

Isiah Movelikezay Beasley

Isiah (aka MoveLikeZay) born and raised in Boston Ma, He is known for his exceptional freestyle and performance skills, knowledge of teaching, choreography.  Zay has been apart of Boston's world renowned Phunk Phenomenon dance company going into his 7th yr. Since then he has been able to share his passion for teaching and coaching as a member of the coaching staff for Lil Phunk (Jr Celtics dance team) along with bringing his own team (Phunk Mob 2018) to Hip Hop international and placing 5th in the USA. Zay's talents have been enthusiastically received at dance classes, workshops, world level competitions (2x Mega Crew Bronze medalist), Music Videos, Live stage shows and  numerous community/charity  and industry events.

Jazmin Alexis

Jazmin has been dancing since the age of 2 years old. She has trained in tap•jazz•ballet•contemporary•and hip hop. Jazmin is a 8 year veteran of the Phunk Phenomenon Dance Studio and has been a member of Lil Phunk•Phunk All Stars•Phunk Mob•and currently Big Phunk. She has performed at countless fundraisers and corporate events representing Hip Hope For Hope in the Fight For Jared to spread awareness for Sanfilippo Syndrome . She has also attended Hip Hop International bringing home 2 medals. Jazmin has taken classes in Boston•New York•and LA with all of the current and major choreographers in the business to keep up with her passion to dance. She has also toured the country training with The Pulse dance Convention as a Camp Counslor and a Protege. She has had the honor of working with artist as Beyoncé •Justin Bieber•and this past summer opened for Cardi B with her Pop Girl group X’s & O’s. She gets to share her knowledge of performing with her

group by helping with the staging•production•performance•and choreographhhZf

Janae

"Janae became a part of the Phunk family as a student in 2002.  She began with hip-hop and explored many different types of classes, enhancing her knowledge.  As a teen, she was a part of Future Phunk and later joined the Phunk Phenomenon adult crew.  She has been a teacher at the Phunk Phenomenon studio for 7 years, currently teaching beginner hip-hop on Saturdays to children ages 5-11.  Her classes focus on teaching foundational moves while intertwining hip-hop culture and education.  Janae’s goal is to increase her student’s self-confidence, stamina, and to create a safe creative space for all students who enter the room!"

Kristen Russell

Kristen Russell has been building young dancers for thirty years, instilling in her students a love of dance, balanced with proper technique. She received her training at the Boston Ballet School, including their highly competitive summer dance programs, where she studied with Bruce Marks, Anna Marie Holmes, Laura Young, Sydney Leonard, Clyde Nantais and Kristen Beckwith. She trained and performed extensively with Donna Miceli, as a member of the Youth Dance Company and Dance Ensemble and assisted with master classes for Dance Teachers Club of Maine. Additionally, she studied with Roseanne Ridings and Adrienne Hawkins. Kristen was a valued member of the DMDC faculty for over twenty years, where as a senior faculty member, she was responsible for teacher training. Kristen has enjoyed choreographing and directing for high schools and for local musical theatre companies, has cross-trained local gymnasts and skaters and has shared her love of dance through daycare and preschool programs. She is proud that many of her students have become professional dancers, teachers and studio owners, themselves. She has taught at dance studios throughout New England and is currently on the faculty of Phunk Phenomenon teaching Contemporary & Modern. Miss Kristen has an early childhood background and believes that the educational process in the classroom is equally as important as the finished product we enjoy on the stage.

Juston Scott

Juston began his journey with dance in  Connecticut in 2007 where he learned the foundations of Krump, Lite Feet, and Popping on the streets with his friends. Shortly after he joined a local dance studio where he learned basic elements of Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, & Musical Theatre. After moving to Boston to pursue a degree in Music Production at Berklee College of Music, he spent his summers training in various parts of Europe in foundational Hip Hop styles with some of the worlds most popular urban choreographers. Looking to continue his education in dance locally, Juston came to join the Phunk family by auditioning for the adult crew in 2018. This is his first year teaching at the studio & he is very excited to share his knowledge and creative gifts with this community!
